Kirstie Alley, ‘Cheers’ and ‘Veronica’s Closet’ star, dead at 71
After a brief fight with illness, actress Kirstie Alley, famed for her Emmy-winning performance on "Cheers" and movies like "Look Who's Talking,"
has passed away, according to her children True and Lillie Parker.
She was 71.
The message said, "We are heartbroken to announce that our beautiful, fierce,
and beloved mother has passed away following a struggle with cancer, which was only recently detected."
The statement from the family's statement added, "She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with amazing strength,
leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead.
As well-known off the screen as she was on it, she was an even better mother and grandmother.
