The Straight Region was shaken Tuesday by a 5.1 tremor focused close to San Jose that was felt across the locale.
There were no prompt reports of wounds or harm.
An extent 5.1 tremor was accounted for Tuesday at 11:42 a.m. east of San Jose. It was trailed by somewhere around two post-quake tremors.
Agreeing the U.S. Land Overview, the tremor was felt as far south as Salinas and Monterey, as far east as Merced and as far north as San Rafael.
The organization assessed shaking as being moderate at the focal point and that significant harm was improbable.
The focal point was in the mountains around five miles east of San Jose, at Joseph D. Award District Park close to Mt. Hamilton.
The most extreme shaking was in scantily populated regions.
